What you’ll need

  1. A gaming system (computer, console or smartphone)
  2. Fast, reliable internet connection and a decent router
  3. If you’re using a PC – Streaming software 
  4. A webcam/microphone

How to create a Twitch account for live streaming

It’s pretty straightforward to set up a Twitch account, just follow the steps below and you’ll be ready to stream in no time. 

1. Check out the comunity guidelines

Read the community guidelines and bookmark the page so that you can refer back if you need to and check for updates.

2. Create your Twitch account.

Sign up with Twitch by filling out the form.

(If you’re signing up on a mobile you’ll need to download the Twitch app).

3. Make sure you enable two-factor authentication.

You’ll need access to a desktop computer and a mobile to do this – just log into your account, head to your security settings, and enable 2FA. This will help to keep your account safe and secure. 

4. Check your safety and moderation settings

You can choose: A computer/console or smartphone

Gaming consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox One and smartphones and are pretty easy to work with because you won’t need to worry about software and extra hardware.

Desktop computers do, however, offer more flexibility. You can use a wider variety of hardware and broadcasting software.
